Pop-up Office: The new flexible working space

Covid has had a considerable impact on the way we work and what companies need from office spaces. As we seem to be coming out of the worst of it we interviewed Rebecca from RedTech, a member of Incubyte Space using our new Pop-Up office option. We wanted to find out how things have effected their business and how they are moving forward.

2/ Before Covid what did the typical working week look like?

We have always been a remote working company as we only started up in December
2019. Just 4 months before the pandemic hit, so much of our culture was created during
covid.

3/ How has Covid changed the way your team works?

I think a better way of answering this is looking at how Covid changed the plans for how
we thought our company would work. We planned on getting a full time office, but have
developed a remote working culture. We realised we missed the social aspects, and
training in person, so we found Incubyte a good solution for getting a pop-up office one
day a week.

4/ What are the benefits of time spent in the office?

Definitely the social aspect and also Monday has become our training day! Also for
filming marketing. I.e. Tiktoks! There are definitely still benefits of getting the team
together even if just once a week.

5/ What effect do you think Covid will have on the long term way we work?

More hybrid working, Zoom and other facilities will remain a big part of the way we
work.

6/ What do you look for in an office space now compared with before?

We didn’t have an office space before, but we definitely need flexibility going forward, a
nice working environment is key when getting the team together.

7/ How has Incubyte helped?

The pop up office fits really well with our needs. We use it most Mondays – but
occasionally if a couple of us are out the office we don’t have to book it.

8/ What are your company growth plans and how will flexible working help you achieve
this?

It works well for the foreseeable future for us! Even if we grow by a couple more heads
there is space for us at Incubyte!
