Incubyte is a new company that specialises in providing dedicated co-working office space in the heart of Cambridge to innovative start-ups and small businesses where they can work alongside, and network with, like-minded businesses. A recent addition to the Cambridge Cluster and based in Stirling House on Cambridge Innovation Park, Incubyte turned to AJ Products to help them create versatile contemporary workspaces that will suit a variety of needs as their tenants grow.
The result of a joint venture between Incubyte Ltd. and Paragon Land & Estates Ltd., Incubyte acts as an incubator and accelerator by providing access to mentors as well as a series of invaluable workshops and talks with some of the leading names in business, thus welcoming new entrepreneurs to be part of an exciting and growing community.
Incubyte wanted to create a variety of office environments within a small space including a meeting room that would be shared among the tenants of Stirling House. The fit-out would require adaptable ergonomics and the latest in office working tools to maximise versatility in terms of working styles – particularly in the shared meeting room.
Incubyte chose AJ Products due to the adaptability the office furniture offered in terms of working style: from stand-up meeting desks to posture stools. AJ Products was also able to offer Incubyte the stripped-back, modern aesthetic they were looking for without breaking the bank!
Due to the nature of the space available within the various office units, it was important that AJ Products was able to provide different options when it came to desk sizing as well as sitting options in shared spaces.
In the meeting room, a sit-stand meeting table combined with balance stools provides an adaptable space that gives users the flexibility to choose how to work and puts an emphasis on employee wellbeing. Acoustic wall panels absorb any background noise from elsewhere in the office and prevent the meeting being overheard. They also double up as an ultra-modern wall decoration, giving the room a distinctive style in assorted monochrome tones that complement the conference table while the motion stools provide a splash of colour.
The office spaces have been furnished with small Nomad desks and comfortable mesh office chairs to create a working environment that suits most needs; they are an ideal temporary workspace for users working on laptops and other portable devices. Although the office spaces feature the same furniture, the different layouts allow users to choose between a collaborative workspace or a more private and independent work area.
The result is a flexible office space that combines ergonomics with modern design to suit the high-tech businesses that Incubyte aim to attract. The new office space has proved popular among the tenants of Stirling House who are now in the process of booking the new meeting room facility and are even looking into AJ Products’ solutions for their own offices.
