There are 513 (UK) coworking spaces listed on Coworker.com and according to a Global Coworking Unconference Conference forecast, by 2022 there will be 30,432 spaces and 5.1 million paid coworking members worldwide. There is certainly no slowing the coworking culture.
Based on the outskirts on Cambridge, Incubyte has a handful of established coworking space neighbours:
- Bradfield Centre (Cambridge Science Park)
- Barclays Eagle Lab (Chesterton Road & MakerSpace on Cherry Hinton Road)
- Cambridge Space (Grange Road)
- Regus hub (East Road)
From Cambridgeshire to North Yorkshire, we’re delighted to announce Incubyte has partnered with indieworx collective, a coworking space and innovation hub in Harrogate, founded by Jem Henderson. Our respective members can access each coworking space (free of charge) should business take them across country. Jem is an experienced Digital Marketer having worked on the Digital Catapult funded IoTUK programme and, alongside running indieworx collective, she is Entrepreneur Engagement Manager for Yorkshire at TechNation. Her links with and knowledge of the technology sector was further reason to expand our coworking network.
“Coworking is a fabulous opportunity for businesses to work together, to help one another, and develop the local business ecosystem. We like to think that ‘the sum is greater than the total of the parts’ for any successful space. This is as much true inside the office as between coworking spaces themselves – which is why we’re glad to partner with Incubyte in Cambridge, as well as our network in the university business centres in Leeds, Wakefield and Halifax. By sharing members across the country, everyone benefits and grows.” – Jem Henderson
Rob Precious, Founder of Incubyte commented: “The coworking model in the UK continues to explode and diversify, so if we can provide added value to our members by offering these types of partnerships, we’ll keep doing it!”
