A free educational coding app created by an Ixworth father of three has hit one million downloads worldwide.
Droidscript, which is currently available on androids, tablets and Google Chromebooks, was developed by David Hurren, of Chalk Lane, to try to combat the lack of coding teaching in schools.
“There’s a big problem in this country now because the government is trying to bring back coding lessons for young people but there are very few coders to help them,” said the 48-year-old.
“I’ve been coding for 36 years and I’ve always felt that it’s not as simple as it should be so, I made this app to make it easier.”
